Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, chopped (optional)
  • 1 pound cremini mushrooms (or button mushrooms)
  • 2 tablespoons dry white wine (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 pinch pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion (if using) and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook until they are browned and tender.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic, thyme, and parsley, cooking for an additional minute.
  5. If using, add the dry white wine and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve warm.

Notes

  • For a keto-friendly option, omit the wine.
  • Feel free to add other herbs like rosemary or basil for extra flavor.
