Ingredients
- 8 ounces medium pasta shells
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small sweet onion, diced
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef stock
- 1 (15oz can) marinara sauce
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, freshly grated
Instructions
- Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning, dried parsley, dried oregano, and smoked paprika.
- Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually add the beef stock, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Stir in the marinara sauce, heavy cream, and sour cream until well combined.
- Add the cooked pasta shells to the skillet and mix until the shells are coated in the creamy sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese on top and let it melt before serving.
