A quick and easy recipe for creamy beef and shells, perfect for weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces medium pasta shells
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small sweet onion, diced
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 (15oz can) marinara sauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, freshly grated


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in the Italian seasoning, dried parsley, dried oregano, and smoked paprika.
  5. Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Gradually add the beef stock, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  7. Stir in the marinara sauce, heavy cream, and sour cream until well combined.
  8. Add the cooked pasta shells to the skillet and mix until the shells are coated in the creamy sauce.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese on top and let it melt before serving.
