Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ⅓ cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (mixed with 2 tablespoons water)
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Stir in broccoli florets and cook until tender.
- In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, ginger, and cornstarch mixture.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring to combine.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot, optionally garnished with red pepper flakes.
Notes
- For a spicier dish, add more red pepper flakes.
