Ingredients

  • 8 ounces baby bella or cremini mushrooms – thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons minced garlic
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon salt – or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper – or to taste


Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are browned and tender.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the heavy cream, dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
  6. Season with salt and cracked black pepper to taste.
  7. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it thickens to your desired consistency.
  8. Serve the mushroom sauce over cooked steak.
