Ingredients
- 8 ounces baby bella or cremini mushrooms – thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 ½ teaspoons minced garlic
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon salt – or to taste
- ¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper – or to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are browned and tender.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Add the heavy cream, dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
- Season with salt and cracked black pepper to taste.
- Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until it thickens to your desired consistency.
- Serve the mushroom sauce over cooked steak.
