Description
A simple and delicious recipe for roasted mushrooms infused with garlic and thyme, perfect as a side dish.
Ingredients
- 16 even-sized open cup mushrooms, stalks cut level
- 3 tbsp olive or vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped very finely
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 5 tbsp fresh breadcrumbs
- 1½ tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix the olive oil, chopped garlic, softened butter, fresh thyme, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Add the mushrooms to the bowl and toss until they are well coated with the mixture.
- Place the mushrooms on a baking sheet, gill side up.
- Sprinkle the fresh breadcrumbs over the mushrooms.
- Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
- Serve warm as a side dish.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add grated Parmesan cheese on top before roasting.
- Make sure to use even-sized mushrooms for uniform cooking.
- These mushrooms pair well with grilled meats or as a topping for pasta.
