Description

A simple and delicious recipe for roasted mushrooms infused with garlic and thyme, perfect as a side dish.


Ingredients

  • 16 even-sized open cup mushrooms, stalks cut level
  • 3 tbsp olive or vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped very finely
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 5 tbsp fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1½ tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, chopped garlic, softened butter, fresh thyme, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the mushrooms to the bowl and toss until they are well coated with the mixture.
  4. Place the mushrooms on a baking sheet, gill side up.
  5. Sprinkle the fresh breadcrumbs over the mushrooms.
  6. Roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
  7. Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add grated Parmesan cheese on top before roasting.
  • Make sure to use even-sized mushrooms for uniform cooking.
  • These mushrooms pair well with grilled meats or as a topping for pasta.
